J. Roddy Walston and the Business release video for “Same Days”
When we first heard “Same Days” on Essential Tremors, the latest album from J. Roddy Walston and the Business, we thought it might be some kind of riff on the Talking Heads’ “Heaven,” the place “where nothing ever happens.” Instead, Walston told us that the words dealt with institutional child abuse. Wow. The video, just released, is appropriately creepy (though not quite that creepy). And the scenes involving young women with animal masks and guns lead us to believe that someone in the band has been reading the story “Lessons” from Laura Van Den Berg’s The Isle of Youth. Check it out here.
