The Pains of Being Pure at Heart to headline second Baltimore Popfest
Last year, in its inaugural edition, the Baltimore Popfest got The Pains of Being Pure at Heart’s lead singer, Kip Berman, to play a solo set. For the 2014 show, the full band (pictured) will top a bill that also includes Eternal Summers, Literature, Sapphire Mansions, and locals Wildhoney and Expert Alterations, whose drummer, Paul Krolian, is also Popfest’s organizer (disclosure: and a friend of mine).
The show is scheduled for March 7 at the Ottobar, and tickets go on sale Wednesday. You can read Al Shipley’s 2013 profile on Krolian and the festival’s origins here.
