Mania Music Group Is Just Giving Away Beats
Attention Baltimore rappers with chintzy, sounds-like-ass beats. You no longer have an excuse. In-house producers for Mania Music, BeaLack and Headphonemusik, are handing out 11 beats for free over at the Mania Music Group BandCamp account. These aren’t instrumentals of previously heard Mania tracks either. They’re new productions in a wide range of hip-hop styles, so there’s probably something here for everybody.
You want one of those super intense, ponderous beats to rap about how hard your life is? Check out “Sky’s Song” and its Jerry Bruckheimer movie strings. “South Joint” is exactly what you think it’d be: a slow-rolling, electronic groove in the mode of Mannie Fresh, or at least Zaytoven. “Like Her” is a rap slow jam that’s still got some grit to it. “Rolling Stone” is a furious, funky rock track, or maybe it’s a rocky funk track? It doesn’t really matter. One could easily rap over all 11 of these beats and have a compelling, fairly sprawling album. Get to work rappers!
