Spring Wine Tastings

Yeah, we know Baltimore’s history as a beer-loving town, but the next few weeks offer plenty of tasting opportunities for those who love the fruit of the vine. Here is the down and dirty on several:

Where: The Wine Market

What: WineD Up, a tasting of more than 30 wines plus hors d’oeuvres
When: Tuesday, March 31, 6-9 p.m.
How much it’s going to cost you: $29 per person, food and drink included
Extras: Up to 20 percent off selected wine purchased that evening

What: Tuesday wine tastings
When: Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; March 24: Syrah Grenache; March 31: Green (organic) wine

Where: The Wine Source

What: Weekly in-store beer or wine tastings
When: Fridays 4:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturdays 1:30-5:30 p.m.; Friday, March 27 and Saturday March 28 the store pours wine from California’s “Rhone Rangers”
How much it’s going to cost you: Free
Extras: There’s usually a bottle discount on wines or beers tasted that day
