A look at April Fools’ Day in Baltimore

As you may have surmised, we here at City Paper enjoy us some April Fools’ Day. We weren’t the only ones trying to pull one over on you. Here’s a few locals that caught our eye:

Atomic Books with its drone program to keep up with Amazon‘s:


The Brewer’s Art saying they were going out of business because of City Paper‘s story about Ozzy Osbourne’s C&D letter (whoopsie!):


Loyola University annexed Notre Dame of Maryland. Reports The Greyhound: “Speaking to the pride of ethnic Loyolans, Fr. Brinnane called for the reclamation of the university’s position as ‘a superpower’ in the continental liberal arts community.”

And via Twitter user @azhangaroo: Johns Hopkins University changed the name on its sign (either temporarily or by Photoshop) to show the name most people outside of Baltimore — and even some who live here — mistakenly call the university:
