Good Early Press for Putty Hill
We’ve been buzzing about Baltimore filmmaker Matt Porterfield’s second feature Putty Hill for a while now, but the reviews and other press coverage from the first week or so of its bonafide theatrical run have started appearing. And so far it’s been a general lovefest: The New York Times, Modern Painters, The L, and film blog The Playlist all published complimentary write-ups. New York Press’ legendarily contrarian film critic Armond White disliked it, but that kinda makes it unanimous in a way.
The film is currently scheduled to open locally in March at the Charles Theater.
