Fire at Remington building housing auto repair shops, Open Space

May 1, 2013

Photo by @P_b1_Early this evening, a two-alarm fire engulfed the building at 2720 Sisson St. in Remington containing several auto repair shops and the Open Space Baltimore gallery.  One firefighter was taken to Mercy hospital with minor injuries and others were evacuated after a partial roof collapse. City Paper designer Jasmine Sarp, one of the resident artists at Open Space, reports that all residents were evacuated and are safe.

The two alarm blaze reportedly started around 6:30 p.m. and was still going after 8 p.m.
