Rafael Alvarez to publish new collection of stories

April 7, 2013

Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing announced this week that it will publish Tales from the Holy Land, the third collection of short fiction from Rafael Alvarez, the long-time reporter for The Sun papers, Wire writer, and frequent contributor to our City Folk section. The press describes the collection:  “The stories take place along the narrow streets and alleys of Alvarez’s heartbreaking hometown, charting secret histories of the last 100 years through the difficult and hopeful lives of tugboat men, junk collectors, beautiful women, short order cooks and an artist who captures it all in house paint on the sides of abandoned buildings.”

We can’t wait.
