Semifinalists for Sondheim Artscape Prize Announced
The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts announced Tuesday over 50 semifinalists for the prestigious Janet and Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize. Approximately six of these artists will be selected to exhibit their work at the Walters Museum from June 29-August 11 as finalists. The work of the remaining semi-finalists will be displayed at MICA’s Meyerhoff and Decker Galleries.
The jurors–Caroline Busta, Jenny Schlenzka , and Beverly Semmes– will choose one of the finalists to receive the $25,000 Janet and Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize on July 13.
The prize is intended to aid up-and-coming visual artists in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
