JFX work is all done–ahead of schedule
The mayor’s office announced that the work shoring up the Jones Falls Expressway was completed ahead of schedule, and all lanes are now open.
The work got underway Friday, April 13th and at the time was expected to take until . . . about now. From the Transportation Department’s previous release (emphasis ours):
Once the closures are implemented, they will remain in effect until construction is complete, which is expected to take up to six to eight weeks. However, the duration of construction is uncertain at this time, and the lane closures could extend beyond this period.
Presumably, a hard schedule was set later and then they beat it.
Yay, highway construction workers!
