The Year of the Dragon roars in on Monday, Jan. 23, and Zhongshan Restaurant is offering a traditional 12-course banquet to usher in the Chinese New Year celebration. The meal includes assorted platters of cold dishes such as sliced roast duck, barbecued pork, and jellyfish; seafood soup with tofu and fried snow crab claws wrapped in shrimp paste; sautéed seafood with snow peas; Chinese fried chicken; twin lobsters with onion and scallion sauce; baby bok choy with shiitake mushrooms; walnut shrimp; fish fillet with corn; house special fried rice; and Chinese cookies and seasonal fruit. Cost is $350 (including tax and an 18 percent gratuity) per banquet table serving eight to 10 people. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
