Jerry Pellegrino. Courtesy Corks.

Several years after an extensive interior renovation, Corks Restaurant closed on Wednesday, Dec. 21, after 14 years in its Federal Hill location. According to a press release, the closure arose out of a dispute with the landlord over facilities repairs. The restaurant had had periods of temporary closure recently due to facility-related problems.

Co-owner Charles Nabit reports that Corks’ founding chef, Jerry Pellegrino, will continue working as a consultant for Waterfront Kitchen in Fells Point, and that all Corks gift certificates and dinner reservations will be honored there. Cooking classes scheduled at Corks will now be held at the new restaurant, as well.
