A Little Sun With Your Superbowl
NASA’s got a a thing for the sun today. Not only is today’s image of the day a gorgeous shot of early morning sunlight at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida—specifically, the view from Launch Pad 39A, where the shuttle Discovery is docked in preparation for its final mission, set for Feb. 24—but a press release today announced the completion of the first-ever total view of the sun and its atmosphere. “NASA will score big on super SUN-day at 11 a.m. EST, Sunday, Feb. 6,” with the online release of the images.
